Tui T. Sutherland was born on July 31, 1978, in Venezuela. Before moving to New Jersey in high school, she lived in Paraguay, Florida, and the Dominican Republic. Tui graduated from Williams College in 1998 and now lives in Boston with her family and pets (a bunch of snails and a dog named Bo). She has worked as an editor and publisher for many years. Her best-selling work, the Wings of Fire series, has 15 hardcover books.
